DIANE HOFFEE

I am a figurative abstract expressionist artist. I like to work with acrylic on canvas. My main focus is to capture universal thoughts, beliefs and feelings in my art. I am inspired by my observations of our individuality and our likeness.

My greatest inspiration and influence came from my husband, Michael Hoffee. We enjoyed nightly painting sessions together and have done art shows and collaborations together. Pure harmony.

I work spontaneously, starting with using colors to form a background. Then figures and pathways start to appear. Painting awakens some dormant part of me that wants to be expressed. My art journey is to connect with the viewer in a wordless way and go beyond the worldly realm.

My Art

My paintings are meant to create a silent dialogue with the viewer. Although they may be interpreted differently, there is harmony in our collective interpretation. The piece, Through My Eyes, reflects or asks how each of us view the reality of this world. There is no judgement, no wrong or right; just an acknowledgement and awareness of the viewer's experiences and feelings.

The piece, Finding the Way, suggests we each have a path we are following. We are collectively moving forward on journeys that may include moments of darkness and uncertainty, with our path not fully visible. We share an emotional and physical pull toward an outcome yet to be seen. There is a commonality to move forward toward what is the best outcome for each human spirit.

My work is intentional and meant to be a Global Experience. The meaning floats across boarders, oceans and landscapes and unites us with our feeling of certainty and uncertainty, silence and expression, fear and growth.

It's been nice silently meeting you and sharing this moment.
